Award-winning Acupuncture Brisbane

Gentle but powerful Japanese acupuncture treatments are one of our core services.

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most commonly used systems of healing in the world and the Japanese have taken acupuncture to a new level. With the skill level involved being much higher than with regular acupuncture, Brisbane based Centenary Natural Therapies use Japanese acupuncture to produce strong changes in the body, to achieve much better long-term results, and to improve difficult and stubborn conditions. It is normally much more comfortable and relaxing than Chinese acupuncture.

japanese acupuncture brisbaneThe best way to understand acupuncture is to think of the acupuncture points as tiny controls for the body that can be turned up or down to change the way the body is behaving.  For example, there is one point on the inside of the wrist that increases blood flow to the heart, one below the knee that increases stomach acid production for better digestion, one on the side of the hand that treats hormone imbalances, and one on the thumb for sore throats.  There are thousands of these points, and over 4,000 years we have learnt how they help heal and repair the body.

Acupuncture is recognised by the World Health Organisation as having the ability to treat nearly 50 common ailments. These include nerve problems, musculoskeletal (muscle, joint or bone) conditions, emotional and psychological disorders, circulatory disorders, addictions, respiratory disorders and gastrointestinal conditions.  However, because Japanese acupuncture works on correcting the body from the inside out, many other condition can be successfully treated.

ACUPUNCTURE BRISBANE – EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS

At our clinic in Brisbane acupuncture therapies are administered by numerous licenced, experienced and award winning acupuncturists, some of whom are also recognised by the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Guangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for their practice excellence.

As a system of health care, acupuncture is also extremely safe. Being drug-free the risk of medicinal side effects or possible adverse reactions is extremely low. It goes without saying that we only use the finest quality, pre-sterilised, disposable needles which are hair-thin and designed for maximum comfort as well as effectiveness.

Children

Children’s bodies are very delicate, and it takes a high level of skill and training to correctly treat children with acupuncture. All of our therapists have the expertise and special training in this area to take care of your child’s health issues and restore their wellbeing.

Free Assessment

If you have a health issue you would like to resolve, we offer a free Comprehensive Assessment. Please see towards the bottom of our Home page or the video at the top right of this page for details.

At Brisbane-based Centenary Natural Therapies Clinic, as well as acupuncture treatments we also provide the following services:

Traditional Chinese Medicine – a complete medical system used to relieve pain and to treat or prevent disease. For around three thousand years, the Chinese and Japanese used a combination of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal remedies (herbs), diet, exercise and massage to address the causes and symptoms of health problems.

Natural Fertility Management – many of our therapists have a special interest and are highly experienced in this area. Recent estimates are that one in six couples are classed as infertile, and fertility problems affect one in three women over 35, so this is a very significant problem in Australia. Something that should be easy and natural is becoming increasingly harder, and more and more couples are seeking effective solutions from our clinic. We offer a free Fertility Assessment to see what support we can provide you (in addition to normal medical treatments).
