Margaret has been practicing natural medicine for over ten years, with qualifications in Naturopathy, Iridology, Western Herbal Medicine, and Nutritional and Weight Loss Coaching. She combines her naturopathic training and expertise with her own extensive life experience to provide her clients with practical health solutions, including lifestyle strategies to improve their daily life. That way they can reach their full health potential, and enjoy the life that comes with abundant vitality and energy for family, friends, work and fun.

Margaret is passionate about resolving her clients’ health problems as quickly and effectively as possible, and is continually striving to increase her knowledge and skills. She normally spends 8-10 hour per week on seminars and other additional training. Most professional associations require their therapists to complete around 20 hours additional Professional Development every year, whereas Margaret usually completes 400-500 hours. (Most recently she has been focusing on hormonal issues, gut problems, and thyroid conditions.)

There is no ‘one size fits all’ with health. Every person’s body is different, so the first step to getting great results is obtaining the Right Assessment and Diagnosis. As well as analysing your health history, family genetics, diet and lifestyle factors, Margaret also uses micro blood analysis, iridology, Food Intolerance Testing, tongue and nail diagnosis, and various other modern and traditional methods to fully understand how your body works and why it is behaving the way it is. She can also conduct a thorough analysis of your blood test results and let you know exactly what they mean for your health.

Margaret’s Own Health Story

“My belief in natural medicine began over 30 years ago, when my young son was diagnosed with severe asthma and was successfully treated using naturopathy and herbal medicine. A very busy life as a mum, partner and step-mum, with a corporate career, gave me a great understanding and appreciation for life’s challenges. I feel very fortunate (most times!) for the rich experiences of my journey, and believe that these have made me a far better health coach for my clients.

My passion for natural therapies developed from learning to sort out my own health without medication, when I was diagnosed as having an underactive thyroid, an adrenal gland condition, and liver, iron and cholesterol problems.

I was frustrated as I thought I was doing all the right things, eating good fresh food, exercising 4 to 5 times a week, yet I always felt tired and wired, wasn’t sleeping properly, and was constantly having to watch my weight.

My Mum and Dad also had thyroid issues, which resulted in high blood pressure, anxiety, depression and kidney dysfunction.

I was fortunate to obtain the support and guidance of a wonderful natural metabolic health practitioner, who helped me to understand my health roller-coaster, and the changes to make so I wasn’t constantly feeling sluggish and anxious from an underactive thyroid.

My advice is to firstly know your genetic health tendencies, and secondly how to improve your health by understanding how your body and metabolism are working. What is great for another person may be no good for you.

The benefits for me have truly been life changing, and I am often asked ‘What have you been doing? I want what you have!’ My philosophy is

  • Use the KISS principle (Keep it Simply Simple) with your health
  • Food is your best medicine, so know what diet is right for you
  • Good sleep is great for your health
  • Exercise – you don’t have to like it, just do it
  • Lifestyle – keep a balance: work hard, have fun and leave a legacy
  • Rituals – work out what ‘rituals’ or good habits work for you

Prevention is always better than cure, so please act now to better your health if you wish to live a long and healthy life, without having to resort to potentially harmful medications.”
