“I led a very sporty life in my younger days, participating in basketball, volleyball, snow skiing, surfing, and wind surfing. Together with working as a carpenter-joiner, I collected my fair share of injuries.

These injuries, and the accumulation of the everyday physical and mental stresses we all incur from work, sport and just keeping fit, led me to a career as a Massage Therapist.

I completed my first Certificate of Massage in 1991 and then finished several postgraduate courses. After 8 years as a Massage Therapist I returned to my trade, however after 5 years of carpentry I sustained a severe accident to my body which led me back to massage in 2009. I reinstated my Massage Certificate IV, completed my Remedial Massage Certificate, and am currently finishing my Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy with the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy (MIMT).

My qualifications come from the best schools and lecturers that Australia can provide, as I wanted to develop a detailed clinical understanding of how the body functions, and find the treatments that would benefit my clients the most.

My remedial massage skills include deep tissue, sports massage, structural alignment, Muscle Energy Technique (MET, an osteopathic technique for spinal, hip and limb corrections), Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, cupping therapy, and soft tissue manipulation.

My passion

Every day I get to treat clients of all ages for their current or ongoing pain and stiffness. Treating chronic and acute injuries of any kind gives me great satisfaction, as I enjoy helping those who think their condition can no longer be improved. I have also had the privilege of treating various elite athletes over the years.

After taking your medical history I always perform a thorough physical assessment, so that I can target the causes of your condition and choose the most appropriate treatment to relieve your pain quickly and effectively.”

Roger is a highly knowledgeable, skilled and experienced therapist. He also uses techniques that are not known and utilised by the vast majority of other massage therapists. So if you would like a thorough, effective and positive approach to your muscular or structural problems, then please call today to book in with him.
