(The Forum was privately created and arranged by Nina Master, one of the acupuncturists at our clinic. Peter Mills from Centenary Natural Therapies Clinic volunteered as an assistant to the project.)
Have you ever wondered whether to see a doctor about a problem or to try a natural therapy? And if you used both, would that work better or create problems? The East Meets West Forum will talk about each approach, and how they can be combined to obtain better health outcomes. The speakers include both medical doctors and experienced Chinese and Japanese medicine therapists. There will also be Question and Answer sessions with the speakers to enable you to gain the maximum benefit from their knowledge and experience.
Is the future of medicine a combination of ancient wisdom and modern scientific knowledge? The strength of Western medicine is in quickly reducing the symptoms of a health problem, whereas Eastern medicine improves the patient’s health, so that the problem is gradually resolved. Integrating the two gives us the best of both worlds.
